I made sure to plug it into a 20-amp receptacle. If you use the formula for that, 1760 watts divided by 120 volts equals almost 15 amps. So you will need a 20-amp receptacle and circuit breaker. This is a well-built product and you probably can get by with a 15-amp receptacle because not all the functions require that much power. Just check your plug receptacle while using it to see if it gets warm.
